Veneers

Veneers

For a person who wants a more uniformly-shaped, whiter smile, dental veneers are a wonderful solution. A veneer is a thin porcelain shell that we bond to a tooth that needs improvement. These veneers can be placed on a single tooth that has suffered damage or all visible teeth to create an improved smile.

Here are the types of smile problems that can be corrected with veneers:

  1. Chipped or cracked teeth
  2. Gaps between the teeth
  3. Deep discoloration that whitening would not improve
  4. Moderate misalignment
  5. One or more teeth that are too short
  6. Irregularly-shaped teeth

Before Getting Veneers

The first step to be done is to ensure that your teeth and your gums are healthy. Any cavities, gum disease or other problems need to be corrected first.

Placing Veneers

The fronts of the teeth to be covered must be prepared by removing a very thin layer of enamel to make room for the extra layer of porcelain. Then we take an impression of your teeth and start the lab on the job of making your veneers.

When they come back from the lab, we try them out to ensure a perfect fit and then bond them to your teeth. Your new smile is now ready to go!
