Dental Implants

Dental Implants

For our patients who were missing teeth, dental implants have proven to be the most satisfactory method of replacing them. Implants are very long-lasting and function just like the natural teeth did. They are indistinguishable from natural teeth as well, especially in Dr. Hassani’s capable hands.

A dental implant has two main parts: (1) the implant, a slender titanium post placed in the jaw bone; and (2) the restoration for the tooth, a white porcelain crown. Dr. Hassani takes great care to design the crowns so they match the patient’s natural tooth shape and color.

The placement of the implant is performed by local oral surgeons Dr. Hassani has carefully picked for their skill and caring attitude. When the bone around the implant has healed fully—usually a few months later—Dr. Hassani prepares the restoration for the tooth.

Support for Individual Teeth or a Bridge

Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth or multiple teeth in a row. When two, three or four adjacent teeth are missing, two or three implants can be placed. When they heal, a bridge is manufactured and attached to the implants to replace these teeth. This is a much simpler method of replacement than a removable partial denture which must be removed for cleaning.
